General Procedure
Note: Obtaining the consular card is a prerequisite for any request to issue or renew a CEMAC biometric passport.
The passport application is individual. Each applicant must create their own account using their personal email address.
The CEMAC biometric passport is an individual travel document that certifies the holder’s identity and Congolese nationality.
The validity of the CEMAC biometric passport is 5 years.
The Embassy of the Republic of Congo in France no longer extends passports.
Submission of Applications
Regardless of their place of residence within the consular jurisdiction, applicants must connect to the Embassy’s website to submit a request for issuance or renewal of their passport.

During registration, the applicant must upload:
- a color passport photo (35x45) on a white background
- a scanned copy of the Congolese birth certificate
- a scanned copy of the previous Congolese passport
- a scanned copy of the residence permit or receipt
- a scanned copy of the marriage certificate (for married applicants)
If the applicant is already registered:
Consular Fees
- Consular card: €8
- CEMAC biometric passport: €120
After payment, the applicant must schedule an appointment to provide fingerprints at the enrollment center of the Embassy of the Republic of Congo in Paris.
Fingerprint registration is carried out Monday to Thursday by appointment only.
Required Documents
- Completed passport application form
- Congolese birth certificate
- Congolese national ID card or previous passport
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
- Consular card
- Recent passport photo
- Parental authorization for minors
- Medical certificate for applicants wearing medical glasses
- Proof of profession
- Residence permit or circulation permit
- Lost passport certificate (if applicable)
Processing Time
Passport applications are processed by the Embassy, but the passport itself is produced in Brazzaville.
Passport Collection
Applicants are notified by email or phone once their passport has been received by the Embassy.
Passport collection takes place only on Fridays.
Passports are delivered only to the applicant upon presentation of the receipt issued during enrollment.
No proxy collection is accepted except by special authorization from the Ambassador.
